Sparklight is currently in negotiations with Univision for the right to continue carriage of their channels (Univision, Unimas and Galavision where currently carried). This agreement expired on September 30, 2019 and has been extended until November 15. We will keep you updated as negotiations continue. 

 

I just received a letter saying that you are negotiating with Univision. Does this mean you are going to remove their channels?

We are currently negotiating in good faith with Univision for the right to continue carrying their programming. Since we know price is important to our customers, we will continue to negotiate in an effort to strike the best possible deal for you, prior to the contract expiration date of September 30, 2019.

Will I get a credit on my bill if you remove these channels?

Rather than a bill credit, we will offer customers our Hispanic Tier free for six months. The Hispanic Tier has 9 Spanish language channels which include a variety of news, sports and entertainment options, including: CNN Español, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, NBC Universo, Tele N, Disney XD (SAP), Boomerang (SAP), Cine Mexicano, and Juarez de Canal 44.

How can I access Univision programming if you remove these channels?

The Sparklight Hispanic Tier offers 9 Spanish language channels which include a variety of news, sports and entertainment options for just $5 per month. Channels include: CNN Español, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, NBC Universo, Tele N, Disney XD (SAP), Boomerang (SAP), Cine Mexicano, and Juarez de Canal 44.

 

How will I access Spanish-language news now that you don’t carry Univision?

Sparklight’s Hispanic Tier offers 9 Spanish language channels, including CNN Español, which offers 24-hour news coverage for just $5 per month.
